Randy is a partner with the firm and has over 25 years experience in public accounting, all with Weinhold, Nickel & Company. He originally joined the firm in 1978, left to pursue other opportunities in 1989, and returned in 1997. During the period he was gone, Randy gained experience in private industry while serving as controller and/or chief financial officer in the manufactured housing, heavy-duty truck sales, and mortgage brokerage industries.
Randy has extensive experience in corporate and individual income tax matters, reviewed and compiled financial statements, and internal control review, but specializes in information technology consulting and accounting systems design and implementation. He works with corporate and individual clients in the manufacturing, construction, service, and retail industries. He also works with a variety of non-profit organizations.
Randy is a Certified QuickBooks ProadvisorSM and provides installation, set-up, training, and support services to our clients using QuickBooks® and Peachtree® software. He provides these same services to the firm on software used internally.
Randy holds an Associate of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, both earned from the Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants.
Randy and his wife, Margie, reside in Ephrata with their two children, Kelli and Jason. He currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce, as Treasurer for the Ephrata Band Parents Association, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Ephrata Lodge No. 665, F & AM. He also was a member of the Lancaster MS Leadership Class of 2007. He enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
