Ron has practiced
public accounting since 1961. He graduated from Franklin &
Marshall College with a B.S. in accounting. Upon graduation, he
accepted a position with Ernst & Ernst where he worked for seven
years. In 1968 he ventured into a partnership until September 30,
1974, at which time he became one of the founders of Weinhold Nickel
& Company LLP.
Ron has extensive
experience in auditing, accounting, tax preparation and consulting.
Ron’s area of practice includes the following: Not For Profit,
Governmental, and For Profit Entities.
Ron has been or
is currently involved with many professional and not for profit
organizations. He has been treasurer for his church for twenty five
years. He has been on the church’s governing body for twenty three
years. He is a forty year member of the Lions Club, serving in the
following positions: president, secretary, and treasurer.
Other
organizations that he is either serving at the present or has served in
the past include the following: United Church Finance Committee,
Jaycees, Apache Camping Club and various Masonic organizations.
Ron is currently a member of the following professional organizations: PICPA, AICPA, and PSPA.
Born and raised
in Lancaster County, Ron is a very avid sports fan (especially the
Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Seventy Sixers). He spends his spare time
hunting, fishing, and golfing.
